Job Description
Sika is looking for an experienced Chemical Operator to join its growing team in the Dallas area for our Insulation business. Responsibilities include:
- Operate pour table and mix chemical batches according to formulation standards and production schedules
- Deliver formulated chemicals to the pour table at required temperatures and adjust pump stroke length as necessary
- Maintain production records, including gas consumption, laminator operation hours, and chemical usage
- Manage chemical inventory, including receiving shipments, performing weekly and monthly inventories, and recovering used chemicals
- Conduct quality control tests, including density, K-factor, and thickness tests on production samples
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during 10-12 hour shifts
- Capable of walking long distances within the manufacturing facility
- Able to climb ladders and navigate staircases regularly
- Proficient in using hands and arms to operate equipment and controls
- Capable of lifting and manipulating heavy objects, including 100 lb chemical hoses and 50 lb pails of liquids
