Control Systems Engineer

Take your next step with Saulsbury Industries! Location: Odessa, Abilene, or Houston TX Type: Full Time General Information/Job Summary Work within the I/E & Control Systems Department. Work on control systems engineering and designs for large industrial projects in midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries. Responsibilities/Competencies Act as a control systems engineer for selected projects. 10% - Interact with other engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, and clients 5% - Provide input to the initial project schedule and support the regular maintenance of project schedules for designated projects. 20% - Work process quality review and drawing approval in the capacity of a lead engineer. 40% - Responsible for PLC/DCS Programming and HMI configuration. 25% - Perform Software Factory Acceptance Tests and Hardware Acceptance Tests for the plant control system. Provide man hour and equipment estimates for project proposals. Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities. Self-motivated with ability to work with others. Requirements BS. in Electrical Engineering or B.S. in Engineering with equivalent I/E & control systems experience required. 5 years' experience required, 10 years preferred. Must have Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Wonderware HMI development experience. Delta V Programming experience is a plus. Industrial networking experience is a plus. Should be a self-learner and willing to go extra mile to accomplish tasks. EIT licensure required or the ability to get licensed after joining the company. Must have trouble shooting skills. Must have commissioning and start-up experience. Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
