Sigvaris is currently looking for a Temporary Employee to work as Warehouse Specialist at our facility in Peachtree City, GA for about 4 Weeks. SHIFT & LENGTH Of The ASSIGNMENT
- Monday to Friday, 1st shift
- Start time: 8:30 a.m.
- End time: Can be as early as 5 p.m. As late as 7 p.m. Must be able to stay later than 5 p.m. if needed.
- This will be for about 4 weeks.
- $17.00 per hour
- Prioritize order pick tickets based on service level.
- Pick products from the warehouse following all performance and safety standards.
- Organize product by series before scanning.
- Scan and pack boxes according to ISO defined packing standards.
- Count accurately.
- Correct errors in picking & scanning based on information given by BFI software.
- Build cartons as necessary for oversized products respecting the SIGVARIS product delivery standards for presentation to the customer.
- Understand DMI calculations.
- Add appropriate markings (packer, id, next day highlights, # of boxes in the shipment, box stuffers), tape & stickers to the outside of the box based on delivery (drop ship, west coast, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform cycle counts of finished goods to schedule assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
- Perform daily warehouse preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Communicate relevant daily workflow information between shifts.
- Maintain a professional relationship with internal customers.
- Trains and mentors substitutes and temps to ensure consistency of service.
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work within a team environment.
- Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
- Interacts with external and internal customers in a timely manner conducive to continued positive relationships.

- Demonstrates effective communication methods.
- Keep Manager and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.

- Checks and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner.
- Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer.
- Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws.
- Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department.
- Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.
- Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- Previous warehouse experience, preferred.
- Color determination, near and far acuity.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb (ladder) for extended periods of time in a non-temperature controlled environment.
- Ability to reach, stoop, kneel.
- Required to repetitively lift up to 20 pounds.
