My client are for a Python Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation tools and scripts that streamline our workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python
- Identify manual, repetitive processes and build solutions to automate them
- Integrate automation tools with internal systems, APIs, and third-party services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline automation
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code that other teams can rely on and extend
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation tooling in production, resolving issues quickly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflow pain points and translate them into automation requirements
- Maintain version control and documentation for all automation tools and scripts
- Strong proficiency in Python, including experience building tools used by other people/teams
- Experience with REST APIs and integrating with third-party services
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Comfortable working with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
- Understanding of software testing principles (unit testing, test automation)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple automation projects
- Clear communication skills, able to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Background in DevOps or security automation
- Experience with data processing libraries (Pandas, etc.)
