More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Continuous Improvement Intern at the Eden Prairie, MN location with Signify.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Documentation: Observe and document workflows across applications, project management, technical support and field service operations.
Continuous Improvement: Support the development and implementation of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Kaizen events, and process standardization.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze performance metrics related to project lead times, service response times, and error rates in submittal and field processes.
Standard Work Creation: Assist in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and visual work instructions for technical and administrative tasks.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Technical Support, Field Services, and Project Management teams to identify pain points and propose efficiency improvements.
Reporting & Presentation: Prepare summary reports and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
Project Support: Participate in pilot projects that implement Lean improvements and track results.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
Basic understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Interest or experience in technical environments such as electrical systems, construction, or lighting controls is a plus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Pay Rate: $22 - $29 per hour (based on year of study)
