Overview:
Lake Nona Performance Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Engineer to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in pool systems, HVAC, RTUs, plumbing, and general building systems maintenance. The Facility Engineer will play a key role in ensuring our state-of-the-art wellness facility – including our medical, fitness, and office spaces – operates at the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repair of building systems including pool systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing.

Maintain and repair Class A commercial building infrastructure, including indoor lap pools, warm water therapy pools, saunas, and other aquatic features.

Monitor and inspect all building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, RTUs, plumbing, and pools to ensure optimal performance.

Respond to emergency maintenance calls and perform necessary repairs.

Review and complete assigned work orders, including time and materials estimates.

Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment logs.

Supervise and inspect work performed by outside vendors, including landscaping, janitorial, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors.

Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and professional manner while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, including direct experience with HVAC and pool systems.

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.

Working knowledge of RTUs and refrigeration systems.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple trades.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks.

Must be able to participate in the on-call rotation for emergency repairs.
Preferred Qualifications:

Trade certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or refrigeration.

Experience working in a Class A fitness/medical or commercial facility.

Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and work order platforms.
