Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team. The Fire Alarm Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations. A Lead Fire Alarm Inspector is expected to have a minimum of 3 years of fire alarm industry experience and will be paired with a helper. A Fire Alarm Inspection Helper is expected to have basic knowledge of low voltage systems. An applicant that does have the required years of experience for a Lead position may be considered for a Helper position.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test fire alarm systems to verify functionality and compliance with codes
  • Identify and document any issues found during inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs
  • Collaborate with clients to explain inspection results and recommend necessary actions
  • Maintain a polite and cordial presence while on customer's sites
  • Effectively communicate with Central Station and office employees
  • Follow all relevant safety requirements

Requirements

  • Proficiency in electrical systems and system design
  • Ability to detect issues in fire alarm systems
  • FASA/BASA Certification (Company will sponsor)
  • Experience in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
  • Familiarity with power tools used in fire alarm system maintenance
  • Previous experience in field service or related roles is advantageous
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift objects under 50lbs
  • Clean driving record and no criminal background* (Due to nature of business and requirements of customer property access)
  • Knowledge of Building Reports software a plus
  • NICET Certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
