Signature Swine is a family-owned swine operation looking for a dependable and motivated Swine Care Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will help care for sows from breeding through farrowing and piglets from birth through weaning while working in a supportive team environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on agricultural work, working with animals, and building a long-term career in farming.
No prior swine experience required — we are willing to train the right person.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily farm chores and animal care
- Assist with breeding and farrowing operations
- Vaccinate animals and assist with herd health programs
- Process litters and care for newborn piglets
- Move and load sows and piglets safely
- Power wash and maintain clean facilities
- Maintain herd records and assist with herd management
- Assist with facility maintenance and general site upkeep
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Reliable and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working with livestock and in a farm environment
- Willing to learn new skills and grow with the company
- Able to communicate clearly with team members, management, and veterinary staff
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of swine production or livestock experience (preferred but not required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Physical Requirements
This position involves active, hands-on farm work and requires:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk frequently throughout the facility
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Bonus days off in addition to PTO
