Import/Export Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import-Export Coordinator to oversee and streamline our international trade operations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and logistics management. The Import-Export Coordinator will play a pivotal role in optimizing import and export processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and minimizing costs while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Process bills of lading, purchase orders, and all documentation necessary to complete a domestic and/or export customer’s order.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
• Manage shipping schedules, transportation modes, and routing
• Make shipping arrangements with the freight forwarder and detailing INCO Terms, shipping weights, dimensions, classification of material and ship to and ship from addresses.
• Oversee the preparation of all required import and export documentation.
• Monitor overseas logistics current events and respond proactively to risk events.
• All other duties assigned.

Required Skills and Attributes: 

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to apply working knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs.

• Ability to implement cost-effective supply chain solutions without compromising quality.
• Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks related to transportation, customs, and international trade.
• Ability to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess the performance of import/export processes.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to align import/export activities with overall business goals.

Qualifications: 

• 1 Yearsexperience in import/export operations
• In-depth knowledge of international trade laws, regulations, and agreements
• Proficient in using trade management software and import/export tracking tools

Physical Requirements: 

• This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 50 lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
