What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expanded Functions Dental Assistant position at Signature Smile Family Dentistry?
Our family & cosmetic private dental practice is in need of a dedicated Certified Dental Assistant
The duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive in the dental practice. The dental assistant performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- taking digital radiographs (x-rays)
- asking about the patient's medical history
- serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
- providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
- charting
- taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)- DIGITAL SCANNING
- writing referrals
- Willing to help where needed including the front- must not be afraid to discuss financial arrangements if need be
- able to order and inventory supplies
DENTAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
The pay range posted is what is offered, do not apply if you do not fall within this range. Benefits like 401K, PTO and Holiday hours are offered at 36 hour per week worked. monday -thursday
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
