Commercial Cleaning Supervisor

Overview
This position is a working supervisor position. This will include supervising, directing, participating in, and sometimes completing, the work of subordinate custodial personnel.

The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the assigned area is cleaned according to contract specifications by directly overseeing the cleaning crew on shift.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (Mornings)

Responsibilities:

• Performs all assigned cleaning tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Janitorial Services Department.
• Supervise cleaning crew in multiple project areas.
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to team members to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform quality control inspection daily of assigned area according to company standards
• Counsel and discipline subordinates, as needed
• Work with Management and the client on a weekly basis to review custodial performance and discuss ways to improve level of service when necessary.
• Maintain supplies by tracking supplies used and ensuring sufficient supplies are labeled correctly and on hand
• Inspect supply closet and carts for safety standards
• Maintain equipment and report damaged equipment to Manager for repair
• Maintain good working relationship with other mall departments.
• Address any incidents or operational issues that arise during the PM shift.
• Ensure both company and customer policies and procedures are adhered to by cleaning crew at all times

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Experience in building maintenance or janitorial services
• Experience in janitorial supervision
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to interface with customer personnel essential.
• Perform tasks that require physical movement, bending, and reaching
• Pass criminal background check
• Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
• A Florida identification or driver's license is required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
• 2 Years of Janitorial/Cleaning experience. Required
• 2 Years of previous supervisory experience. Preferred
• 1 or more years of experience with auto scrubbers and flooring equipment. Preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
