Role: HR Generalist (Compensation Focus)

Job Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities and Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, presentation, reporting, human resource system and other applicable systems.
Knowledge of federal and state HR statutes, laws, and regulations Knowledge of college policies and procedures.
Knowledge of college administrative software including imaging software, business English, writing and vocabulary, business math and statistical analysis.
Ability to collect and analyze data and information.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Ability to facilitate work groups with subject matter experts to gather information.
Ability to write and communicate effectively and concisely.
Ability to perform research and prepare reports and make presentations.
Ability to work with sensitive and highly confidential information and keep data secure.
Knowledge of job evaluation processes.
Ability to conduct complex evaluations regarding job descriptions, classification, salary, and equity.
Ability to maintain great customer service to internal candidates in an urgent environment with competing priorities.
Ability to contribute to and complete salary surveys.
Ability to conduct job audits.
Ability to be self-directed and make compensation decisions supporting SLCC Compensation

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field. 0-3 years of experience.
Trade off 2:1 in experience/education requirement.
Part-time experience may be considered on a prorated basis.
