Plumbing Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Plumbing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the plumbing department and team. They will ensure that jobs are completed on time with exceptional customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Leadership - Supervisor team of field personnel including supervisors, plumbers, and apprentices. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure high quality and performance. 
• Project Management - Oversee the completion of projects from start to finish including man hours and profitability. 
• Resource Management - Monitors and manages tools and equipment to ensure that the right tools are available for the job.
• Documentation - Creates and maintains thorough documentation where necessary including employment records, disciplinary records, and reports. 
• Quality Control - Ensure jobs are completed according to code.
• Compliance and Safety - Ensures job site safety including use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Implement and enforce all safety policies and protocols. 
• Training and Development - Provides ongoing training on new and developing issues, technology, solutions, process and procedures. 
• Continuous Improvement - Identifies opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and strategies.

REQUIRED SKLLS & ABILITIES

• Must be familiar with technology including Microsoft365 suite of applications.
• Familiarity with Service Titan preferred.
• Ability to coach and mentor personnel, lead them in the right direction, and demonstrate the Signature way. 
• Comfortable presenting in front of groups and leading team meetings. 
• Strong ability to build and cultivate relationships with vendors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 years experience in the field as a plumber.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to continually stand, walk, climb, ascend/descend ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, and crouch, frequently in tight spaces, for extended periods of time, in indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to continually use hands/fingers to handle, feel, utilize tools, and operate machinery.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS

• Hybrid environment including office and field work which may include interior and exterior of customers' residential and commercial properties. May require exposure to weather conditions, dusts, and mists that may be present while working outdoors. Exposure to chemicals may occur.  Use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety-footwear, goggles, gloves, shield, mask or respirator, and hardhats may be required. 
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license and insurable driving history. 
• Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Generally Monday through Friday 7AM to 4PM, additional nights and weekends are periodically required as needed; must be generally available via phone during off hours
