The ideal Staff Development Coordinator is detailed-oriented with a passion for training and educating stakeholders to provide excellent care to residents. They will develop and implement job skills training, in-service education, and employee health monitoring for nursing department employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement job skills training and in-service education as required by regulations and employee health monitoring.
- Regularly check the competency of C.N.A. skill performance, positive regard for residents, and developmental needs of direct care staff.
- Provide one-on-one instruction if necessary.
- Provide skill training to new staff in deficient areas before allowing them to perform tasks with residents.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
- Minimum three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; long-term care setting preferred.
- Current/active CPR certification.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
Salary : $20,800 - $92,460
