Signature Healthcare at Home is seeking to add a PRN Speech Therapist for Island County!
This position would cover Whidbey Island (Coupeville, Oak Harbor, Langley, Greenbank, Clinton, Freeland) for home health speech therapy services.
This position works Monday through Friday day shift, with self-directed scheduling dependent on patient needs and territory. If you enjoy a high level of autonomy, travel and meeting patients where they are, apply today!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for the on-going interdisciplinary assessment and development of the individualized plan of care in partnership with the patient, their family / representative(s) and caregiver(s).
- Provides patient, family and/or caregiver education, counseling, and refers patient to other home health services as appropriate.
- Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve function.
- Administrates speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment.
- Communicates with the physician responsible for the home health plan of care and other health care practitioners on an on-going basis to inform of patient's condition and progress.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Must have a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology and be licensed in the state of practice.
- Must possess and maintain licensure to practice in the state of Washington.
- A minimum of one year's clinical experience is required; home health experience is preferrable.
- Possess and maintains throughout employment an active driver's license, auto insurance policy and basic lifesaving CPR.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of home health experience.
- Familiarity with the Homecare Homebase / Pointcare EMR system.
Schedule, Pay and Benefits
- PRN / Part-time schedule, no set hours or days.
- Hourly pay $50 - $60 per hour, eligible for overtime.
- Reimbursed for mileage.
- This position is not eligible for participation in the company's insurance benefit offerings.
