We’re seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead all interior design efforts across Signature’s commercial projects and the residential division. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-driven, and confident working directly with clients, project managers, vendors, and leadership to deliver cohesive, well-executed designs that elevate the Signature brand.
Responsibilities
- Own entire design and selections process for commercial, multifamily, and single-family projects, to include selecting materials, colors, and fixtures for interior and exterior design elements
- Provide input on residential floorplan layouts from a design perspective
- Create and maintain attractive design packages for home construction
- Guide clients through the design and selections process for built-to-order homes and customs through in-person meetings
- Create policies and procedures to systematize the Signature design process
- Value engineer interior selections to minimize cost
- Set appropriate finish allowances for projects of varying scope
- Maintain library of materials and products for selections
- Produce marketing materials to reflect interior finishes for use by the Sales Department (ex: “mood boards”)
- Manage staging furniture purchasing and installation for all communities
- Research and follow industry trends and best practices
- 5 years preferred experience in decorating interior spaces (Commercial, Multifamily, or Residential)
- Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, staging furniture and all installations
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, Revit or other design programs
- Excellent portfolio of previous works
- Communication, presentation, and project management skills
- BS degree in Interior Design or similar
