Position Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, cultivating relationships with key accounts, and promoting Signarama of New Tampa’s full range of products and services. This role requires strong networking skills, consistent prospecting activity, and hands-on involvement in the sales process from lead generation through project handoff to project closing.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Prospecting
- Generate new leads through networking, cold calling, door-to-door canvassing, and attending chamber events.
- Identify and prioritize key target accounts
- Register Signarama of New Tampa as a vendor with target organizations and learn their procurement processes.
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, property managers, contractors, developers, and decision-makers.
- Understand customer needs and present tailored signage solutions.
- Conduct site visits, take measurements/photos, and gather project details.
Sales Process Execution
- Prepare and deliver proposals with support from internal teams (design, estimating, permitting, production).
- Follow up on leads, quotes, and open opportunities in a timely manner.
- Maintain active communication and ensure a smooth handoff from sales to project management.
Reporting & Pipeline Management
- Track all activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM.
- Provide weekly progress updates to the Sales Manager.
- Meet monthly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
Required
- 4 years of outside sales experience (sign industry or construction-related fields preferred).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform site visits.
Preferred
- Experience with sign industry, commercial construction, print/graphics, or similar.
- Ability to read site plans or architectural drawings.
