Position Summary
Create accurate, visually compelling artwork for a wide range of signage products while maintaining brand consistency and production‑ready standards. Operate large‑format printing and cutting equipment to bring designs to life, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the production process.
What You’ll Do
- Design signage layouts, proofs, and production files using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Design logos and artwork based on customer ideas.
- Prepare accurate, print‑ready files that follow Signarama production standards.
- Prepare design plans for sign permit applications.
- Collaborate with the sales team to interpret customer needs and translate concepts into effective visual solutions.
- Revise artwork based on customer feedback and obtain clear approval before production.
- Maintain organized digital files, artwork archives, and project documentation.
- Communicate with vendors when needed to obtain templates, specifications, or artwork guidelines.
- Operate and maintain large‑format printers and plotters, including loading media, calibrating equipment, and performing basic maintenance.
- Assist the production team by providing clear instructions, measurements, and file formats.
- Support in‑house marketing efforts by creating graphics for social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Photograph completed projects for portfolio use and marketing.
- Weed, mask, and prepare vinyl graphics for installation when needed
- Cross‑train in other store areas and help maintain an organized, clean, professional workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate, high‑quality artwork that aligns with customer requirements and production capabilities.
- Operate large‑format printing and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage multiple design and production tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain consistent communication with sales, production, and customers.
- Ensure all artwork is properly proofed, approved, and archived.
- Support marketing initiatives with creative, on‑brand graphics.
- Uphold a professional, detail‑oriented approach to every project.
Who You Are
- Creative, detail oriented, and passionate about visual communication.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with other design tools is a plus.
- Comfortable learning and operating large format printers, plotters, and related production equipment.
- Strong communicator with the ability to interpret feedback and collaborate effectively.
- Able to stand for extended periods and work at a computer or monitor for long stretches.
- Organized, dependable, and eager to learn and grow within a team environment.
- Experience with signage, print production, or large format graphics is a plus but not required.
- Strong proofreading ability and attention to detail in written English; Spanish a plus.
