What You'll Do
As a Data Scientist, you'll play a key role throughout the AI development lifecycle by:
- Analyzing large clinical, operational, textual, and medical imaging datasets to uncover meaningful insights.
- Building reports, dashboards, and visualizations that guide product, research, and medical decisions.
- Training, evaluating, and improving computer vision and large language models.
- Developing robust evaluation frameworks for AI models.
- Investigating model performance, including false positives, false negatives, hallucinations, bias, and failure patterns.
- Designing experiments to compare models, prompts, datasets, and training strategies.
- Developing and optimizing prompts for LLM-powered applications.
- Working on structured information extraction, summarization, classification, and medical text generation.
- Assisting with dataset creation, annotation strategies, quality validation, and data preparation.
- Supporting model training, fine-tuning, and continuous improvement.
- Building tools that improve AI development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborating closely with engineers, researchers, product teams, and veterinary experts.
- Presenting findings, recommendations, and technical insights in a clear, actionable manner.
- Taking ownership of projects from concept through implementation.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve unfamiliar problems independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points If You Have Experience With
- Master's degree in a related field.
- 1–3 years of industry, research, internship, or personal project experience.
