Position Summary
Signal Peak Silica (SPS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily warehouse functions, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, parts kitting, and tool crib management for our frac sand mining facilities in Oakwood and Dover, OK. This position works closely with the maintenance and procurement teams to ensure materials and tools are properly organized, accurately tracked, and readily available to support operations.
Job Responsibilities
Inventory & Storage Management
- Maintain acuate inventory records within the inventory management system and perform regular cycle counts
- Organize and manage MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) parts and storage areas
- Ensure parts are stored in their designated locations and in correct quantities
- Maintain a monthly inventory report including inventory turns, shelf stock, and safety stock levels
- Maintain clean, organized indoor and outdoor storage areas
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, inspecting materials for quality, specification, and quantity accuracy
- Operate a company vehicle occasionally to retrieve parts and supplies from offsite locations
Tool Crib & Maintenance Support
- Maintain a tool crib system, including tool check-in/out and calibration tracking
- Pick, kit, and stage service order parts
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with MSHA regulations and company safety policies
· Maintain clean and orderly warehouse and yard storage areas
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, tool crib, or MRO environment
- CLA certification preferred
- Experience in an industrial or mining environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experienced with inventory management systems
· Ability to work various shifts, including scheduled down days, overtime, weekends, and holidays
· Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
· Knowledge of core logistics and warehousing principles (receiving, storing, picking, shipping, inventory control)
· Familiar with CMMS/ERP functionality for work orders, requisitions, and reporting
· Understanding of Industrial MRO environments (belts, bearings, pumps, tools)
· Skilled in cycle counting, bin location accuracy, and monitoring min/max levels
· Experience with tool crib operations including check-in/out, reconciliation, calibration alerts
· Strong multi-tasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
· Clear and effective communication with team members
· Proactive in identifying and escalating stock risks
· Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
Physical & Working Conditions
· Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds and carry loads up to 150 feet
· Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, crouching, pushing, and pulling
· Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching
· All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty
· Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs
