Security Site Coordinator

Signal of Western NY
Clay, NY Full Time | Part Time
POSTED ON 9/14/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/13/2026
Position Summary

This is a Part Time to Full Time Role.

Signal is seeking a Security Site Coordinator to support security operations at a large client site.

This position will serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between the client and Signal, ensuring the client's security needs, scheduling requirements, site changes, and operational expectations are effectively communicated to Signal's operations team and on-site security personnel.

A major focus of this position will be security scheduling and coverage coordination. The Security Site Coordinator will work closely with client representatives, Signal operations leadership, and on-site supervisors to anticipate staffing needs, coordinate schedule changes, maintain appropriate coverage, and respond to changing site requirements.

This is a client-facing coordination position rather than a traditional Security Supervisor role. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, professional, and comfortable coordinating between multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities Client Liaison & Communication
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact between the client and Signal for security-related operational matters.
  • Maintain regular communication with client representatives regarding staffing needs, site activity, upcoming changes, access requirements, and security concerns.
  • Receive client requests and coordinate the appropriate response through Signal's operations team.
  • Ensure requests, concerns, and operational changes are acknowledged, communicated, and followed through to completion.
  • Provide appropriate updates regarding staffing, coverage, incidents, and other security-related matters.
  • Attend applicable client operations, security, coordination, and planning meetings.
  • Develop strong working relationships with client management, site personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between client expectations and Signal's field operations.
  • Escalate significant client concerns or operational issues to Signal leadership when necessary.
Scheduling & Staffing Coordination
  • Coordinate the day-to-day security schedule in partnership with Signal's operations team.
  • Maintain visibility of scheduled officers, supervisors, posts, shifts, and required coverage.
  • Review upcoming staffing requirements and proactively identify potential coverage gaps.
  • Coordinate schedule adjustments resulting from call-offs, additional coverage requests, changing access points, special projects, or site activities.
  • Communicate upcoming staffing changes and additional coverage requirements to Signal operations leadership.
  • Work with the client to understand upcoming activities that may require changes in security staffing or deployment.
  • Coordinate requests for additional officers, extended hours, temporary posts, special assignments, or changes in security coverage.
  • Ensure Signal operations receives sufficient notice of anticipated staffing increases or changes whenever possible.
  • Confirm required posts are staffed and escalate unresolved coverage issues.
  • Assist with coordinating new officer placement and site-specific onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records of staffing requests, schedule changes, and client-requested additional coverage.
  • Help forecast future security staffing requirements as site operations expand or change.
Site Coordination
  • Maintain awareness of current security operations across the site.
  • Communicate changes involving entrances, gates, access points, restricted areas, traffic patterns, contractor activity, and other site conditions to appropriate Signal personnel.
  • Coordinate with Signal supervisors to ensure officers understand current client expectations and site requirements.
  • Assist with updating post orders and site procedures when operational requirements change.
  • Coordinate site-specific training or retraining when new procedures are implemented.
  • Help ensure new officers are properly introduced to the site and understand their assigned responsibilities.
  • Identify recurring operational concerns and coordinate solutions with Signal leadership and the client.
  • Conduct periodic site observations to maintain familiarity with security operations and changing site conditions.
Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
  • Maintain records of client requests, staffing changes, schedule adjustments, and operational follow-up.
  • Assist with reviewing security reports and significant incidents requiring client follow-up.
  • Prepare concise operational updates for Signal and client leadership when requested.
  • Track open security-related action items and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain current contact lists, post assignments, schedules, and other site-specific operational information.
  • Assist Signal leadership with documenting changes to the security scope as the site evolves.
Position Scope

The Security Site Coordinator is intended to be Signal's primary coordination point for the assigned client account.

The Coordinator does not replace Signal's shift supervisors or broader operations management. On-shift supervision of security officers will continue to be handled through the established supervisory structure.

Instead, the Coordinator's primary responsibility is ensuring that the client knows who to contact, Signal understands what the client needs, the schedule reflects those needs, changes are communicated quickly, and coverage issues are addressed before they become client problems.
