Armed Security Supervisor

Position: Armed Security Officer

Compensation: $21.50/hour

Schedule: Tuesday 1:30pm-9:00pm, Wednesday 7:30am-5:00pm, Thursday 7:30am-7:00pm & Friday 7:30am-5:00pm

**MUST HAVE A VALID NEBRASKA CHP AND A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF MILITARY OR LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE TO QUALIFY**

Position Summary:

The Armed Supervisor for Signal of Omaha is a member of the Dedicated Team under Midwest Security Enterprises, LLC. This position is responsible for hourly duties directed by their Supervisor and site-specific post orders. Fulfilling the position is one that requires integrity and work ethic. The Officer at this site must be highly responsible and extremely alert. Signal Security Officers will be working by themselves and should possess the ability to sufficiently execute Post Orders without constant monitoring from executive staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The majority of the Armed Officer’s shift will be spent at the security desk watching cameras and greeting individuals as they come and go. The officer may partake in a variety of tasks while on site such as escorting individuals around the building, checking out suspicious activity seen on cameras, foot patrols, escorting staff to cars, and assisting staff with individuals who are found with weapons on them. The Officer’s main duty is to ensure the safety of the staff on-site and be a known presence of security to help deter any criminal activities. The Armed Officer will be trained on, and needs to be prepared for, medical emergencies, fire, smoke, or explosion procedures, practices for hazardous chemicals/materials, severe weather, bomb threats, suspicious packages/unattended items, and active shooter protocol. The Armed Supervisor will schedule, train, and help fill vacancies for their site.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have two years of military or law enforcement experience with weapons training
• Must have a valid Concealed Handgun Permit, or Carrying a Concealed Weapon Permit
• Must own and provide a handgun approved by Signal

Requirements:

• Must be able to maintain site-specific security orders
• Must be able to pass a background check & drug test
• Must have a working and functional smartphone with data to conduct reports
• Must own personal transportation or have reliable transportation to get to and from work

Education:

• High school diploma or GED is required
