Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood development and age-appropriate activities.
- Supervise and engage with toddlers during playtime, snack time, nap time, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive interactions.
- Support children with basic needs such as diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates.
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environment
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training.
- Classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Understanding of childhood behavior management techniques and child supervision standards.
