What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Internship (Spring 2026) position at Signal Group?

Signal Group, a top modern public affairs agency located in D.C, is looking for a full-time Digital intern interested in a career in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing and other related fields. This is not your average internship program! This is a paid internship program and you will be fully integrated into Signal’s client teams and be immersed in the work culture.

At Signal, you will have the opportunity to work alongside staff with diverse backgrounds and gain experience from executives who are at the top of their field. Our team works across a diverse set of industries that includes environmental, technology, healthcare, tribal and foreign affairs and industrial – delivering strategy and solutions that are driven by strategic communication, advocacy, and digital programs. Alongside hands-on client work experience, you will attend a series of professional development sessions to gain deep knowledge in topics such as digital marketing, how to pitch to clients, how to build a digital and communications strategy, how to use advance analytics to improve campaigns and how to navigate the news.

We are currently hiring for the Spring 2025 session that runs from January 5 – May 22.

As a Digital intern, you will be active in the vital day-to-day work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting paid and organic media campaigns
  • Creating digital content, including graphics and videos, for social media and websites
  • Support in analytics reporting and campaign performance analysis
  • Conducting research based on client needs
  • Managing website updates across a multitude of client sites
  • Assisting in managing design project updates
  • Varied administrative project management tasks such as updating tasks in Asana, taking meeting notes and keeping track of action items

To qualify for our internship program, you are:

  • Organized and have a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong in managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and managing tasks remotely
  • Demonstrates tech-savvy skills and a proactive willingness to learn new content creation tools
  • A clear communicator and team collaborator

Signal’s office is now open, and employees may work remotely; however, this position is based in the Washington, D.C. area.

This is a paid internship at $17.95/hour. This internship program does not qualify for insurance benefits.
