This position is responsible for the successful management of all aspects of loan administration from current loan servicing through default management, for both mortgage and consumer loan programs. The Loan Servicer also ensures administrative and operational compliance with regulatory requirements and Signal Financial Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.The position is located at Kensington, MD headquarters. The role is hybrid, in office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.Position Responsibilities:Mortgage Loan ServicingEnsure the thorough and responsible administration of all loans in compliance with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Signal Financial FCU guidelinesResponsible for all current loan servicing activities including, but not limited to, payment postings, new loan set-up, member information updates, payoffs/curtailments processing, minor change adjustments, loan amortization and researchSubmit timely and accurate monthly loan-level and default reporting of data to Freddie Mac on sold mortgage portfolio in compliance with their investor reporting requirementsResponsible for meeting the required timeframes for the payment of real estate taxes, homeowner's/flood insurance, and private mortgage insurance for both the in-house-held and sold loan portfoliosPerform annual escrow analysis on both the held and sold loan portfoliosBook all first trust and home equity loans into the appropriate systems each dayEvaluate and perform Loss Mitigation/Default Management efforts Perform rate change adjustments on all variable rate productsManage the large volume of daily inquiries received via in-person, phone, mail, fax, and e-mailProcess Loan Modifications, Loan Deferrals, and Loan Subordinations in a timely mannerAssist with annual mortgage loan interest reporting to members and IRSConsumer Loan ServicingResponsible for title lien recording on all new vehicle loans in compliance with Signal Financial FCU policies & proceduresProcess vehicle loan lien releases with the 50-state DMVs as requiredReview, evaluate, and submit timely and accurate monthly reporting of vehicle loan lien status data to management using Vitu reportingComplete all current loan servicing activities including but not limited to payment postings, member information updates, loan payoffs/principal processing, loan adjustments and researchPerform rate change adjustments on all variable rate productsResponsible for the Debt Protection, GAP, and Extended Vehicle Warranty programs including the timely processing of program claimsProcess Loan Modifications in compliance with Signal Financial FCU policies and proceduresManage Share Secure/Certificate loan payoffs and pledge releasesPosition Requirements High School Diploma or GED required, College degree preferredTwo to five years loan servicing experience required Must demonstrate knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines as well as the Credit Union lending policies, procedures, and regulationsMust possess a thorough understanding of the requirements and features of the consumer and mortgage loan programs offered by Signal Financial FCUExcellent oral and written communication skills requiredStrong math calculation skills including the use of Excel spreadsheets and basic analytics requiredSolid time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneouslyProfessional and effective interpersonal skillsAbility to learn and work in a fast-paced work environmentPC proficiency to include Word, Excel, Outlook, internet and e-mailWe are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
