We are seeking a highly motivated SI/PI Engineer to join our Baltimore team. This role is designed for an engineer who craves variety and wants to push the state of the art. You won't be stuck on a single product line; instead, you will tackle a diverse range of unique projects that define the cutting edge of high-speed design.
In this role, you will balance deep technical execution with customer-interfacing opportunities, growing both your analytical mastery and your professional brand within the SI/PI community.
- Customer Interface: Act as a technical point of contact for clients, translating complex simulation data into clear, actionable design recommendations.
- Collaborative Communication: Present technical findings and project updates to diverse stakeholders, from internal Principal engineers to client-side design teams.
- Project Adaptability: Manage a high-variety workload, rapidly pivoting between unique projects in AI/ML, data centers, aerospace, and proprietary tool development.
- Interface Optimization: Develop and optimize high-speed designs including PCIe, SerDes, DDR, and USB.
- System-Level Simulation: Lead SI modeling for complex package/PCB designs, focusing on PCIe, LPDDR4/5, MIPI, and HDMI.
- PDN Architecture: Simulate, analyze, and optimize the Power Delivery Network (PDN) from the VRM through the PCB and Package to the Die.
- Multiphysics Analysis: Execute DC drop and electrothermal simulations to ensure reliability in high-power density designs.
- Hardware Characterization: Conduct VNA and TDR measurements for material characterization and high-fidelity model correlation.
- EMC Support: Participate in on-site EMC pre-compliance testing using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Correlation Projects: Close the loop between simulation and real-world physical performance through rigorous measurement-simulation correlation.
- Workflow Innovation: Utilize AI workflows, Python or MATLAB to develop new automation solutions for EDA tools and measurement workflows.
- Industry Contribution: Identify opportunities to contribute to the SI/PI community through technical blogs, white papers, and conference presentations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: 3 years of professional engineering experience, with 2 years specifically in SI/PI engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of high-speed digital design principles, including transmission line theory and S-parameters.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Ansys SIwave, HFSS, Polar).
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required (ITAR compliance).
- Advanced Degree: Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
- Advanced Automation: Experience developing custom automation solutions for EDA and lab measurement workflows via AI workflows, Python or MATLAB.

ITAR/EAR Requirements:
