Multi-Site Manager
Signal Coffee Roasters
Location: East Bay / Multi-Site
Hours: 35–40 hours per week (Minimum 3–4 scheduled on-bar shifts weekly)
Key Coverage Days: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Compensation: $23.00–$25.50/hour DOE and location tips
Reports To: Director of Retail
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
About the Role
Signal Coffee Roasters is looking for a hands-on Multi-Site Manager to lead our café and Farmers Market teams. In this role, you’ll use your barista skills, keep operations running smoothly, help develop the team, and manage finances.
You’ll work alongside your team, set high standards, support store leads, and make sure everything is consistent. Every day, you’ll show our values by serving great coffee, building strong teams, and achieving great results.
What You’ll Do: Operational Leadership
Make sure every location is clean, welcoming, and runs smoothly, with a focus on quality.
Be present during busy times, handle any service issues that come up, and keep an eye on online reviews.
Coffee & Culinary Quality
Help dial in espresso, coach the team on making drinks and food to our standards, and support new product launches.
Lead and support team leads, give helpful feedback, manage hiring and training, and help create a positive workplace culture.
Scheduling & Labor
Take care of scheduling, make sure we follow all legal requirements, and keep overtime in check.
Cash & Financial Controls
Oversee cash handling and deposits, help prevent losses, and look into any discrepancies.
Inventory & Systems
Manage coffee orders, inventory, equipment, and health standards at all locations.How Success Is Measured (KPIs)
Coffee Quality & Guest Experience
Consistently dial in espresso and maintain drink quality as verified by daily checks.
Achieve internal quality audit scores of at least 85% or higher based on company assessment tools.
Maintain an average review rating of 4.7 or above on major review platforms for each location.
Meet or exceed ticket time goals during peak service hours, as defined by company standards.
Team & Culture
Ensure all direct reports complete weekly one-on-one meetings as scheduled.
Maintain high retention as measured by low turnover and positive culture survey results.
Document performance coaching actions consistently in staff records
Labor & Compliance
Achieve full compliance with all break and meal period requirements under California law. Keep overtime within pre-approved limits as specified by company policy.
Maintain zero health department violations based on local inspections.
Cash & Financials
Maintain minimal cash variance as tracked in daily reconciliations.
Ensure deposits are accurate and completed on time.
Resolve register discrepancies promptly to prevent repeat issues.
Inventory & Systems
Order coffee and supplies accurately based on usage trends and par levels.
Maintain minimal emergency order frequency as monitored monthly.
Report equipment issues to maintenance within 24 hours of discovery
What We’re Looking For
2–3 years in specialty coffee or high-volume hospitality
Prior leadership experience managing teams
Strong technical barista skills and attention to detail
Experience with cash handling, deposits, and accountability
Highly organized, systems-minded, and reliable
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
Ability to manage multiple locations and shifting priorities
California Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
