This role is responsible for supporting fiber optic network operations, including installation, repair, maintenance, and other technical field activities. The Fiber Technician is responsible for ensuring network quality, functionality, and compliance by following company standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
This is a full-time W-2 employment position offering long-term work opportunities and the chance to contribute to reliable service delivery and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain coaxial cable systems in residential and commercial environments.
- Complete daily assignments while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
- Accurately document completed work, materials used, and required production information.
- Verify that all installations and service work meet customer specifications and quality expectations.
- Assist in identifying and correcting quality or service-related issues in the field.
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all site-specific requirements.
- Respect customer property and immediately report any accidents, damage, or unexpected situations.
- Properly operate, maintain, and care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
- Keep supervisors informed of job progress, delays, and field conditions throughout the workday.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while representing the company in the field.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in cable installation, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, or structured cabling is preferred.
- Understanding of coaxial, CAT5e, CAT6, and other low-voltage cabling systems.
- Ability to interpret basic work orders, diagrams, and installation instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Experience using cable testing equipment is a plus.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license may be required based on the assigned service area.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
