Fiber to the home

This role is responsible for the execution and support of fiber optic network operations, including installation, repair, and technical field activities. The Fiber Technician ensures network functionality, quality, and compliance by applying approved technical standards, safety guidelines, and operational best practices. This is a W-2 employment position, offering a stable opportunity to contribute directly to reliable service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coaxial cable installation, service, maintenance, and related field work efficiently and accurately
• Complete assigned work orders, service documentation, and production records
• Report time, materials, job activity, and required data in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure all work complies with company standards, client requirements, and quality guidelines
• Support quality control processes and address identified issues as required
• Follow all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety protocols
• Protect client and third-party property and promptly report any damages or incidents
• Properly use, maintain, and return company-issued tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles
• Communicate job status, progress, and field conditions clearly and in a timely manner
• Maintain professional conduct with customers, clients, and the public

Requirements

• Experience as a Cable Technician or in structured cabling / telecommunications field work
• Knowledge of copper cabling systems (CAT5e, CAT6, coaxial, low-voltage)
• Ability to read basic schematics and follow technical instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with testing tools and cabling standards
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license may be required for travel to job sites

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
