Summary:
We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team. The painter is responsible for basic surface preparation and spray painting of signage and parts. This position will be required to operate paint systems, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met.
Painter Duties and Responsibilities:
• Covering and maintaining a clean workspace and signage surfaces with protective coverings to keep them free of paint
• Properly preparing surfaces before paint is applied
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them
• Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications
• Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paint sprayers while emphasizing on the finished technique
• Cleaning paint booth, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids
• Maintains painting equipment and tools per maintenance requirements
• Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments following a schedule
• Following safeguards, rules and regulations
Qualifications:
• Good color vision and aesthetic instincts
• Excellent attention to detail
• Minimum of 2 years of spray-painting experience preferred
• Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
• Physical strength, stamina and dexterity
• Familiarity with multiple painting types, equipment and materials
• Collaboration and teamwork
Salary: based on experience – Full-time position
