The Essentials:
- Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift | No weekends/holidays
- Location: Fairlawn, OH & Cuyahoga Falls, OH
- Specialties: Orthopedics
- Travel: May be required to travel between clinic locations as needed
What You'll Do:
- Fit patients with prescribed durable medical equipment (DME) and orthoses, including education, modification and proper use.
- Participates in all aspects of the DME program, including insurance verification, billing, and patient guidance. Obtain insurance authorizations, verify benefits, and explain coverage to patients.
- Schedule DME appointments and send referrals to vendors per insurance guidelines. Coordinate timely delivery of equipment, including surgical needs, and send referrals as necessary.
- Complete and update patient forms; review EMR for progress notes and stat orders; prepare charge tickets. Enter DME charges with correct modifiers; dispense equipment through inventory system.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program required. Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as an Athletic Trainer or related field, preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems preferred. Knowledge of clinical safety protocols and quality standards. Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and clinical demands.
- License/Certifications: Current license to practice Athletic Training in the State of Ohio required; Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC), Inc. for Athletic Trainers preferred; BLS required.
