About Us
FASTSIGNS is a custom sign and graphics shop serving the Las Vegas valley. We design, produce, and install vehicle wraps, banners, architectural signage, and more, including significant work for public works projects.
The Role
No two weeks look the same here. Some days you're in the shop building signs, other days you're out in the field installing them, and that variety is the best part of the job. You get to make something and then see it go up.
In the shop, you'll cut ACM Panels and other substrates on the Javelin, print and laminate vinyl, weed and mask graphics, and build larger sign structures out of wood or metal according to engineering and custom sign specifications as needed. In the field, you'll install architectural and ADA signage, channel letters, monument signs, wraps, and banners, putting your general contracting and jobsite skills to work. On bigger jobs you'll lead the install: sequencing the work, coordinating the crew, and running it from first sign to punch list. A large job might be 300 signs across a single school, from tactile/braille door signs to exterior channel letters, coordinated with the GC, inspectors, and other trades.
We provide a company truck and all tools, and we'll train you on our machines and systems. The people who thrive here are hands-on and versatile, comfortable both building a sign and installing it, and that range is exactly what earns raises as you grow with us.
Prevailing Wage Work Is Coming
Starting in Q1 of next year, we expect to begin prevailing wage projects for public works projects. On those jobs, install hours pay Nevada prevailing wage rates, well above our base range, around $57/hour for our typical sign work. Your pay moves with the work: shop and standard install days at base, prevailing wage on the public works hours.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on ability building things, installing things, or both. Experience on both the production and install sides is ideal, but strong on one and eager to learn the other works too
- Relevant experience such as sign work, general contracting, carpentry, or construction and handyman trades
- Comfortable running shop tools and equally comfortable on ladders, lifts, and active job sites in Las Vegas heat
- Able to lead a crew and a schedule on bigger jobs
- Work non traditional hours as needed. For example: schools require installs to happen outside of school hours (before 8AM or after 4PM)
- Detail-oriented, because customers notice every bubble and every crooked letter
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (you'll drive the company truck)
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Bonus: ADA/tactile signage, channel letters, wraps, vinyl application, public works experience, or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
