We are doing a Contract to Hire in about 2-3 months. So please still share candidates that want short turn around time
Expectation is Hybrid. They are open to relocation candidates but we will need to set a time for when they will be in office. The next 2 months they would have to travel every other week as they are currently in a mission critical comp adjustment and planning right now.
This person is Sr. Staff Level which means they are strategic folks (helping define strategy) but will be HANDS ON. This is still very fast paced and still moves like a start up so communications and fast paced is key.

About & Day-to-Day:
will be a hands-on resource responsible for People Systems Strategy, solution, and responsible for Core HCM, Adv Comp. Have experience working in a SOX Compliant environment.
System Strategy & Execution
o Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Workday HCM, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Absence modules, as well as related HR systems.
o Translate HR business objectives into Workday solutions with clear scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, and success measures.
o Partner with HR leadership to create and execute a scalable HR technology roadmap and governance structure, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
Operational Excellence
o Oversee day-to-day operations, configuration, and support for Workday and related systems (e.g., Greenhouse, other HR platforms).
o Act as subject matter expert (SME) for HCM, Adv. Comp, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking, supporting complex data management, workflows, and reporting.
o Partner with HR and Payroll teams on process improvements and ensure system configuration supports business needs.
o Stay current on Workday releases, evaluate new features, and implement relevant enhancements to improve functionality and user experience.
Process Optimization & Best Practices
o Serve as a trusted advisor on HR process optimization, automation, and standardization while balancing business flexibility needs.
o Drive adoption of HR technology best practices and ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies.
o Provide cross-functional expertise and Workday knowledge to HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders.
Compliance & SOX Controls
o Ensure all Workday system changes follow SOX control requirements, including proper documentation, peer reviews, approvals, and controlled migrations.
o Participate in internal and external audits, provide evidence of compliance, and remediate any identified gaps.
o Maintain access control and security configuration in line with segregation-of-duties requirements.
Reporting & Analytics
o Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced Workday reports and dashboards for HR, Finance, and business leaders.
o Support compliance reporting, regulatory filings, and ad-hoc data requests.
Hard Skills/Tools:
• 15 years of global HRIS experience, with deep hands-on expertise in Workday HCM, Adv Comp, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking (Payroll experience strongly preferred). Also integrations
• Expertise in data integrity, security, testing of system changes, report writing, and process improvement.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and HR system change control requirements.
• Workday certifications in HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence strongly preferred; Compensation certification is a plus.
