160819 Remote Risk Manager- Risk Management & Patient Safety, , 2 Months contract Sigma, Inc. is looking for Remote Risk Manager with Beth Israel Lahey Health Hospital and Medical Center Schedule:Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5.00 PM Must be separated from BILH for 6 months and in good standing to be considered (perm, per diem, contract). Required Qualifications : Prior Risk Management experience is imperative. Ability to filter through legal documents. Know what a serious reportable event (SRE) is and do an RCS. Understand hospital operations, risk mitigation, malpractice. Masters in Nursing not necessary, nice to have. The goal is to review and adjudicate safety event reports and support this team. Review/analyze, triage, and follow up on and close safety event reports. Reviewing Safety reports, perform RCA's (route cause analysis) on serious safety events. This department of 3 Specialists receives lawsuits and claims. They read/analyze them and understand if they need to connect with malpractice insurer. They focus on identifying, mitigating, prevent risks to protect safety of staff and patient safety.
