The Membership Services Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our membership operations. Position Summary
The Membership Services Coordinator takes a customer-centric approach to ensuring key processes aligned with the life cycle of our members and affiliates are completed timely and accurately. The Membership Services Coordinator identifies gaps in processes and works in partnership with the Regional Director and Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator to conduct research and close identified gaps.
Essential Job Functions
- Review and provide clearance for new member/affiliate intake and charters to ensure established guidelines are met to proceed with structured activities and induction.
- Process individual prospective member/affiliate applications reviewing subsequent documents and eligibility requirements.
- Review requests for life member, ruby member, and cultured pearl service recognition as well as reactivations. Research internal database, documentation, and/or chapter records to determine if service recognition / reactivation should be granted.
- Subject matter expert for at least one membership/affiliate process. Responsible for maintaining process documentation and providing training support as necessary.
- Provide a high level of quality control utilizing audit data to continuously improve processes.
- Respond to data and information requests from management to support reporting.
- Engage across departments to drive operational excellence throughout the International Corporate Headquarters team.
- Provide help ticket and telephone support responding to membership inquires as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a 2-year degree, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Must have at least 2 years of relevant membership, customer, or client support experience.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Exceptional written and oral skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and solve complex problems
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Competent and persistent internet research skills
- Ability to compile and analyze research data
Preferred skill: Graduate member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. who has extensive knowledge and execution of TORCH Intake.
Physical requirements: Required frequently: sitting, repetitive hand and wrist
movements, bending, reaching and the ability to lift at least 15-25 lbs. Long periods of computer work are also required.
Remote/Hybrid Work Schedule Requirements: M-F 8:00 – 5:00 PM and special events or conferences as needed. Candidates must be available during company core business hours and available to travel as needed for special events.
