Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma - **Must currently reside within 250 miles outside of Tulsa, OK for remote work eligibility **
Work type: 100% Remote **(Up to 50% travel primarily in South Central US and nationwide)**
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Performance Bonus Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)

Overview
Our client is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the quality, performance, and compliance of critical suppliers supporting highly regulated industries including Defense, Aerospace, and Medical technologies.
This position is responsible for driving supplier quality excellence across precision electromechanical components and assemblies including brushless motors, actuators, and advanced motion control products. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure supplier capability, continuous improvement, and zero-defect initiatives throughout the supply chain.

Responsibilities
- Lead supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new and existing suppliers.
- Partner with Purchasing and Materials teams to evaluate, qualify, and approve new suppliers.
- Develop and maintain incoming inspection strategies alongside Quality and Receiving teams.
- Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Investigate supplier quality issues and lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
- Maintain supplier quality documentation, scorecards, trend analysis, and performance reporting.
- Drive supplier corrective action initiatives and long-term quality improvements.
- Perform supplier system, process, and product audits.
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing capability, process controls, production capacity, and scalability.
- Assess supplier risk related to quality, delivery, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supplier base.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline (Master's preferred).
- 3 years of Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience working directly with suppliers in regulated manufacturing industries.
- Expert knowledge of:
- Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Supplier Quality Management
- Lean Manufacturing
- Experience supporting ITAR/EAR regulated manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of NADCAP special processes.
- Experience with ISO 14971.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
