What are the responsibilities and job description for the Costumes Assistant Project Manager position at Sight & Sound Theatres?

The Costumes Assistant Project Manager supports the Costumes Project Manager by managing secondary timelines and processes that affect the costumes design and build for all Sight and Sound Theater shows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee production floor sewing and cutting teams, and wigs and makeup team.
- Assist Costumes Project manager with daily operational duties for the entire design and build process for all theater shows.
- Manage day to day tasks for Production Assistant and Costume Shop Assistant, and act as POC for Branson theater costume team.
- Support Costumes Project Manager in dress rehearsals and fittings and alterations seasons.
- Manage technical documentation processes; create, maintain, and update necessary show information to ensure success of future rebuilds.
Prerequisites:
- Possess strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple timelines and work groups
- Demonstrated flexibility and strong problem solving related to costume manufacturing process, budget implementation, and complex timeline management
- Strong knowledge of theater and costume department operations
- Working knowledge of general garment and costume construction processes, fabrics, and textiles
- Possess excellent communications skills with confident decision making
- Forward thinking with a big-picture perspective
Experience
Preferred- Knowledge/Interest in Costume or Basic Garment Construction and Technology
- 2 year(s): Project Manager within Theater or Garment Industry
Education
Preferred- Associates or better
