What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Caretaker (Part-Time) position at Sight & Sound Brand?

The Animal Caretaker participates in the care of all Sight & Sound show animals and their facilities.
This position will work up to 28 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Model our Mission, Values, and Safety Statements.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly and clean work environment to include all animal living, training, and turn out areas.
- Assist in the basic care and feeding of all Sight & Sound show animals.
- Follow all regulatory requirements for animal care.
- Ability to step into training and handling duties as needed.
- Support the company and department strategic plan.
- Be available for weekend and/or holiday caretaking assignments as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
- Willingness to approach your work with the following qualities: collaborative, genuine, servant-leader, positive, and passionate.
- Basic understanding and experience related to animal care.
- High level of concern for the welfare of animals.
The physical demands of this position are active in nature. You will be expected to be on your feet frequently, walk and stand regularly, consistently communicate with team members using a headset/radio, work outdoors. You will be expected to frequently lift/exert up to 50 lbs. of force, often handling large animals to move on command. The full physical requirements of this job are available upon request.
