Role Description
The Major Accounts Manager is a full-time, field-based business development and account management role based in Fort Myers, FL.
This position is responsible for developing, closing, managing, and growing relationships with property management companies, HOA and condominium communities, multifamily properties, senior-living communities, and other large multi-system accounts throughout Southwest Florida.
Responsibilities include identifying and prospecting new accounts, meeting with decision-makers, understanding property HVAC needs, coordinating HVAC asset assessments, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating within approved pricing guidelines, closing new business, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
The Major Accounts Manager will also work with customers to develop maintenance programs, replacement timelines, and long-term HVAC planning while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, outside sales, account management, or relationship-building experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, present proposals, negotiate, and close business
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable independently managing a territory and sales pipeline
- Strong organization, follow-up, and CRM discipline
- Comfortable meeting property managers, association boards, ownership groups, and other decision-makers
- HVAC experience is helpful but not required; experience in construction, restoration, painting, roofing, property management, building services, or another relationship-driven industry is welcomed
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn HVAC systems, maintenance programs, and replacement planning
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation for travel throughout Southwest Florida
