Summary Of Role
Responsible for the effective operation, changeovers and minor autonomous maintenance within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Lead Op fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

OSL/OTB Operations Technician I
Summary Of Role
Responsible for the effective operation, changeovers and minor autonomous maintenance within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Lead Op fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.
Key Responsibilities

- Effectively lead the room’s mechanical needs functioning as the technical expert for the area
- Able to troubleshoot and identify root causes to correct room issues (technically and administrative reporting) to minimize down time
- Responsible for inspection and routine upkeep of machines.
- Should be able to document minor machine adjustments and repair processes
- Share technical knowledge and assist in hands on training to develop employee skills on machines, systems, procedures and work instructions utilizing Trainers as needed
- Follow LOTO protocol
- Perform necessary quality checks for the machine
- Coordinate communication between maintenance, engineers, quality and production to provide regular feedback of production/room throughout the shift in a team focused environment
- Work to maintain the highest possible OEE on the lines
- Ensure manufacturing lines have the supplies and resources needed to work at their highest efficiency levels
- Ensure and participate in employee AM checklist daily
- Coordinate production changes overs ensuring proper line clearance and proper paperwork is completed
- Issue materials and ensures accurate transactions to Production Orders and Report Ops Complete daily
- Assist when available to ensure operators record production results at the end of the shift accurately by review and update of iAuditor hourly or as deemed necessary
- Ensure that all personnel comply with all Safety, Personnel, Operations, OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA, Environmental policies and other regulatory guidelines and rules
- Escalate any concerns of safety, quality or productions issue that cannot be immediately resolved
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in manufacturing
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management
- EDUCATION.
- High school diploma or G.E.D required.
- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to lead a team to work safely and follow Regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines.
- Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and strong leadership
- Focused on details and accuracy of reporting
- Able to communicate clearly and decisively to the team members and with the next shift
- Good understanding of product lines
- Background with leadership experience in technical fields is required
