What You'll Be Doing
Provide Safe and Reliable Transportation
- Transport individuals to employment sites, community programs, appointments, and other scheduled destinations.
- Follow established routes and schedules while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
Support Passenger Success
- Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles as needed.
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to safety guidelines.
- Help ensure a comfortable, respectful, and welcoming travel experience.
Communicate and Collaborate
- Share relevant information with supervisors and team members regarding transportation needs or concerns.
- Maintain accurate transportation records and follow organizational procedures.
Create Positive Experiences
- Build professional and supportive relationships with passengers.
- Promote dignity, inclusion, and independence throughout each trip.
The Details
- Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. You must have a strong driving record, pass a DOT physical, and be willing to drive a DOT vehicle.
- Ready to Roll: You must be able to pass a DOT physical, a drug and alcohol test, and a background check.
- Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to lift to 50 pounds, bend, twist, and assist with pushing wheelchairs.
- Schedule: Your schedule will be assigned by your supervisor and may vary to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
