About The Position

Reporting to the Festival Box Office Assistant Manager, FESTIVAL BOX OFFICE ASSOCIATES provide every customer with a top-notch experience during the Seattle International Film festival. This position provides over the phone, via electronic communication, and in person support. Box Officers are responsible for festival ticket and pass sales, voucher redemption and customer service.

Wage: $22/ hour

Employment type: Temporary Part-Time

Employment Duration: 5/6/2026 to 5/18/2026

Reports to: Festival Box Office Assistant Manager

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently sell tickets, gift certificates, memberships and passes
  • Open/Close box office, reconcile any cash, provide daily transaction reporting
  • Provide excellent customer service and positive cinema going experiences to all SIFF customers and guests
  • Assist customers with purchasing via email and phone when needed
  • Provide information about SIFF and SIFF’s programs to customers and guests
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1 years experience in customer service; ticketing experience a plus
  • 1 years experience with cash handling
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and think on your feet
  • High comfort level with computers and POS systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills

Benefits and Expectations

  • This is a temporary, hourly position
  • This is an FLSA overtime non exempt position (Overtime rates are 1.5x hourly rate)
  • This position is not eligible for health or other benefits
  • Access to discounts and passes to some SIFF programming and events hosted by neighboring Arts organizations

This and all SIFF positions require that employees are residing and completing work duties within the state of Washington.
