Engineer Intern - Automation / Controls

Wages range from $19.50 to $21.50 per hour

Sierra Pacific Industries’ Tech Shop in Anderson, California is seeking motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in automation and electrical engineering. Gain exciting hands-on engineering experience working with a team of experienced individuals at a company using cutting edge computing, sensors, and processes to highly automate our manufacturing process.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Assemble, wire and test control panels for state-of-the-art lumber manufacturing facilities
• Work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn new skills
• Work and gain experience with Electricians, Automation and Computer Engineers
  
  

Qualifications

• Engineering major in a relevant field – must be going into Junior or Senior year with a background in programming
• Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, and other analytical and planning tools
• Exposure to programing or electrical systems preferred
• Capable of formulating creative solutions to complex problems
• Possess the ability to work independently
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, and reasoning skills
  
  

Base Location: Anderson, California

Compensation includes competitive hourly wage and housing allowance for qualifying individuals.
