We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team and help create a comfortable, welcoming environment for our residents.


Position Overview: Part Time Monday - Friday 5pm-9pm

As a Janitor/Housekeeper in our Residential Mental Health Program and Office Spaces, you will be an essential part of maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting atmosphere for our residents and staff. Your role will involve cleaning and sanitizing living spaces, common areas, and offices, ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanitize and Clean: Keep resident rooms, office spaces, bathrooms, and common areas clean and sanitized.
  • Furniture & Fixtures: Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a tidy and inviting environment.
  • Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the facilities.
  • Bed Maintenance: Change linens and make beds in resident rooms to provide a fresh and comfortable space.
  • Waste Disposal: Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Kitchen & Dining Areas: Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, including appliances and surfaces.
  • Laundry Care: Launder and distribute towels, bed linens, and other laundry items.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and notify the facilities manager of inventory needs.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
  • Health & Safety Protocols: Follow health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
  • Event Assistance: Help set up and clean up after program activities and events.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with residents and staff with respect and compassion.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a residential or healthcare setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to Detail: A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order.
  • Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
  • Sensitivity: Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Licensing & Clearance:
    • Obtain a health clearance form from a medical provider.
    • Obtain a negative tuberculosis screening.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Criminal record clearance required.
