About the Role: 

Supports Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL) Military Operations Center (MOC) through data collection, analysis, organization, and normalization. Documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Collates information into meaningful tools and reports. Develops and analyzes monthly metrics data, reviews, and analyses geared toward improving business processes. Performs data management of database tables, data elements, reports, and other entities contained in reporting systems. Analyzes project requirements including program scheduling, critical path analyses, and project support/resource requirement determination. Fully participates in impact studies, cost/benefit analyses, dependency models, and employs appropriate project tracking methodologies.

Analyzes business or operating procedures to devise the most efficient method of accomplishing the work. Plans the study of work problems and procedures, gathers and analyzes data, organizes and documents findings of studies, and prepares recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Collates information into meaningful reports and presentation material. Performs data management of database tables, data elements, reports, and other entities contained in reporting systems. Analyzes project requirements including program scheduling, critical path analyses and project support/resource requirement determination. Fully participates in impact studies, cost/benefit analyses, dependency models, and employs appropriate project tracking methodologies. Able to produce visualizations to communicate findings through the use of tables and charts.

Must have:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in the applicable concentration area.
  • Experience collecting, aggregating, normalizing, and standardizing aviation data to improve efficiencies in accomplishing work and to create visualizations for leadership analysis. 
  • Experience with Naval Aviation databases and data analysis tools including OOMA and DECKPLATE, Continuous Monitoring Program (CMP), Aviation Management Supply and Readiness Reporting (AMSRR), Tableau Data Visualization, and ADVANA/Jupiter.
  • Proficient with one of the following: Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI, and familiar enough to develop basic charts in the others.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis leveraging aforementioned platforms and collaborate on corrective action analysis.
  • Ability to generate professional content for MS PowerPoint briefs that are shared fleet-wide (to include Flag-Level Leadership)
  • Detail-oriented and possess excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to flex availability outside of normal business hours for staff support
  • Secret clearance

Nice to Have:

  • Capable of conducting root-cause, corrective action analysis. Possess a working knowledge of statistics and is able to assess correlation.
  • Experience using MS Power Platform Tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Lists) and troubleshooting the tools with the development team.
  • Proficiency in Python or R is a highly favorable trait for all positions.
  • Experience as a Commissioned Officer, senior enlisted or mid-level DoD government (E7-O4, GS 11-13) may be considered favorably.

Education Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • 6 years of additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Work toward a master’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university is to be considered favorably.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
