Transportation Driver/Resident Assistant

This per diem driver will transport clients from the VA to a facility in Bangor, CA and/or meet another driver at a designated point in California.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Driver & Resident transports clients when needed to various appointments or facilities in California. 
 
Essential Functions:

• Pick up/ Drop off patients
• Interact/Communicate with the patients in a professional manner
• Drive for extended periods of time
• When not driving, work in the facility assisting clients
• Assisting with intakes and facility needs
• Ensure the building is secure when on facility grounds. Conduct and document safety check
• Monitor property entrances. Secure all exits, doors, and windows
• Conduct house meetings with the clients
• Submits reports of daily activity
• Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
• Aid clients in need
• Light housekeeping
• Prep cooking, cooking, and dishes. Cooking by baking, grilling, steaming, boiling, etc
• Ensures cooking ingredients are fresh
• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
• Assisting with intakes including searches, and getting the client ready for admission
• Assist with client care to ensure clients are comfortable at the facility
• Assist with laundry needs
• Assist with transporting clients

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Class C (Class A or B preferred)
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification. (Can be obtained upon hire)
• Current TB test and health screen. (Can be obtained upon hire)

Hourly wage: $25 for per diem

                        $25-$31 for part time or full time (this position may become part time or full time in the future)
