GENERAL MANAGER – MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS

Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 Base Salary Performance Bonuses

Maverick Metals Supply & Custom Fabrication is a rapidly growing metal roofing and sheet metal manufacturing company serving contractors, builders, and commercial customers throughout the Mid-South.

We manufacture and distribute high-quality metal roofing panels, trim, flashings, and custom-fabricated metal products. Our mission is simple: deliver exceptional quality, dependable service, and industry-leading turnaround times.

We are looking for a hands-on operator who can help build Maverick Metals into the dominant metal roofing manufacturer in our region.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys building systems, driving operational excellence, holding people accountable, and growing a business.

POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of Maverick Metals. This individual will own daily operations, inventory management, manufacturing efficiency, logistics, pricing strategy, customer service, ERP implementation, and profitability.

The ideal candidate has experience managing manufacturing operations, distribution, inventory, production scheduling, and team performance while driving measurable financial results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Leadership

• Lead all manufacturing and fabrication operations
• Oversee production scheduling and workflow
• Improve shop efficiency and throughput
• Reduce waste, rework, and downtime
• Develop SOPs and accountability systems

Inventory & Purchasing

• Manage steel coil purchasing and inventory levels
• Maintain inventory accuracy above 98%
• Control material costs and minimize waste
• Develop forecasting and replenishment systems

Profit & Loss Management

• Own revenue, expenses, gross margin, and profitability
• Develop pricing strategies to maintain target margins
• Analyze KPIs and implement corrective actions
• Build monthly operating plans and forecasts

Logistics & Distribution

• Manage deliveries and route optimization
• Coordinate customer deliveries and jobsite logistics
• Improve On-Time-In-Full delivery performance

Sales & Customer Experience

• Support contractor relationships
• Oversee order processing and customer service
• Ensure accurate production and fulfillment of orders
• Improve customer retention and repeat business

Technology & Systems

• Lead implementation and management of Paragon ERP
• Develop reporting dashboards and KPI tracking
• Improve workflow automation and visibility

Leadership

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members
• Build a high-performance culture
• Establish accountability standards
• Conduct weekly performance reviews

Within 12 Months:

• $3 Million Annual Revenue Run Rate
• 40% Gross Margin
• 98% Inventory Accuracy
• 95% On-Time Delivery
• Reduced Scrap and Rework
• Fully Implemented ERP System
• Documented SOPs for Core Processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Experience managing production teams
• Experience in metal roofing, sheet metal fabrication, steel manufacturing, or building materials distribution
• Strong inventory management background
• Experience with purchasing and vendor negotiations
• Proven leadership and accountability skills
• Strong understanding of KPIs and operational metrics
• Ability to read financial statements and manage profitability

Preferred

• Metal roofing manufacturing experience
• Roll former experience
• Distribution center management experience
• ERP implementation experience
• P&L ownership experience
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma background
