We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. The PIC will be responsible for managing pharmacy staff, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to patient care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
· Provide patient assessment and counseling on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects
· Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
· Manage inventory and order medications and supplies as needed
· Supervise pharmacy staff and provide guidance and training as necessary
· Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medications dispensed, and patient information
· Stay updated on new drugs, treatments, and regulations in the field of pharmacy
· Work directly with Operations Manager on daily operations and projects
· Be a part of a collaborative Management team
40 hours per week (Monday-Friday 9am-6pm), with some weekend and weeknight call – there is extra pay available for being on call.
Skills:
· Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate medication needs and provide appropriate care
· Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients and physicians
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with patients and healthcare providers
· Thorough understanding of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals
· Advanced computer skills
