What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Sierra Counseling & Neurotherapy?
We offer an opportunity to join a very busy private mental health group practice providing services as a medical billing/insurance operations and front office staff. These operations include patient scheduling, computer driven billings, maintaining paper and electronic records, maintenance of physical supplies and materials, typing, and general office organization in coordination with front office specialist. Financial operations include establishing patient insurance eligibility, monitoring billing processes, insurance appeals, and reconciliation of accounts to electronic and paper chart systems with collections through cash, credit cards, and insurance payments. It may also involve credentialing clinical staff with insurance panels. This position works closely with the clinical staff of the office in facilitating scheduling and client access to services. Although our office is busy, we maintain a very pleasant work environment for office staff and clinicians. Supervision of this position is provided by Managing Partner of the the practice.
Pay: $21.00 - $22.50 per hour
