RESPONSIBILITIESGreet customers with a friendly welcome and be helpful to customers, vendors, and coworkersInform customers of promotional items and up-sell productsAccurately ring up all sales on a cash register, count back change, handle money, checks and other types of payment received for products soldComplete daily paperworkStock and maintain inventory levels on the shelves, in the cooler and freezer, etc.Clean the interior and exterior areas of the store (floor, trash disposal, bathrooms, spills, etc.)Efficiently perform multifunction operations of all store equipment (fuel pumps, measure fuel tank levels, etc.)Maintain property and equipment to ensure customers have a safe shopping experienceFollow Company Loss Prevention and Safety Procedures, such as wearing suitable clothing for safety purposes, and not working outside at night, etc.Follow Company policies as well as State and Federal lawsComplete other duties as assignedPHYSICAL DEMANDSStand, stoop and/or walk for an entire shiftBend at waist with some twisting during the workdayGrasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands continuously throughout the dayExposure to cold or hot temperature extremes performing in the walk-in cooler, freezer and/or outdoorsRoutinely lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overheadOccasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waistREQUIREMENTSMust maintain Food Handlers CardAbility to communicate (orally and in writing) in EnglishCapable of being at work as scheduled to relieve prior shift employeesMust be able to work with minimal direction and follow instructions given by supervisor(s)Ability to work alone as well as with a teamExcellent attention to detailPLUSESExperience in retail sales preferredFluent in SpanishThe above duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by those assigned to this job.
